If you pay attention to dental products you buy, you’ll probably notice most are sporting some sort of “ADA” seal of approval. Chances are, you’ve seen it more often than you’d realize. The question is, do you know what that seal is, what it means, and why it matters?
Today, we’re going to take a few minutes to explain the importance of the ADA, and its seal, to you.
What is it?
Just like other professions, the dental world has its own group of professionals – the American Dental Association. Everyone from orthodontists to a dentist is welcome to join.
Why is it important?
The ADA basically sets the code of conduct for dentists across North America. These are generally accepted as the best standards by which dentistry perform, and they’re the ones by which Dr. Wallace Lunden practices.
What about the seal?
This is a guarantee that the products you buy work as advertised. In order to get the ADA seal, a product has to be proven to do what it says. If it doesn’t, the product doesn’t get the seal – and it quickly loses widespread consumer appeal.
